The Bang & Olufsen Touchless Remote Control. Click HERE for more pics & info...
Bang & Olufsen has created the new Touchless B&O remote control. Still a prototype, it was designed by Joris Van Gelder. Inspired by the idea of making a remote control exclusively for kitchen use, he wanted to come up with something you didn't need to touch because remote controls are considered to be one of the gadgets that house maximum bacteria.

I like the fact that their inspiration was to help stop geeerms from spreading, they need to think of a cheaper version for public use like atm machines.

I like that, though its a little too much to just change the volume and the channels, lol...for those that dont understand (some of you in the comments above me) When the person tilts the remote down, they turn down the volume on the tv. When they tilt it up, they turn the voulume up. When they put their finger thru the upper part of the gap, it enables them to surf thru channels in an ascending order. and when they put their finger thru the lower part of the gap, it enables them to surf thru channels in a descending order...thats basically it...simple enough??? As I stated, Im old fashioned and prefer a simple, touch-button remote control....lol

ummm, cool but not really practical. My normal remote seems like it will be easier and faster. But that remote is something to show off to your friends :D
