ANOTHER GREAT THING FROM MY GOOD FRIEND YVES BEHAR
05.01.2008

Y Water, developed in part by Yves Behar, is a bottled water made specifically for kids. Click HERE for more pics & info...

A new entry in the bottled water market, Y Water, comes out of Venice Beach ~ has a bottle designed by Yves Behar ~ and can be built into crazy structures. They are also targeted at kids, and are organic, low calorie drinks full of vitamins and minerals "Y Water's attention-getting names—Muscle Water, Bone Water, Immune Water, and Brain Water—communicate the idea that the ingredients are the building blocks of healthier bodies." Bottles are 100% recyclable and 100% reusable as a creative developmental aid.

I like this, people need to find a better way to recycle.
FranciscoDAnconia | May 1, 2008
The bottled water industry is one of the worst in terms of pollution: bottle production, product shipping, and then most people don't recycle the bottles. And of course since they are meant to be disposable, instead of reusing their bottles, they just buy a new one. What a waste.
The packaging and marketing are solid. But we cater too much to what kids want these days. Why do we treat kids as independent entities? Instead of coaxing them into drinking water by buying some expensive bottle, all you have to say is "drink this water from a glass" and make sure the kid drinks it. People just want to make parenting as easy as possible I guess; but that tends to lead to spoiled kids then adults who feel entitled to everything.
I really think the branch of flavored waters is stupid.Seriously, drinking water shouldn't be a chore or something that needs to be made easier by putting sugar and other chemicals into it.

Wow, I wish Yves was one of my good friends

I always think it's kind of patronising when companies make shit that's just a weird shape and a really bright colour just so it'll appeal to kids but this is pretty cool actually, I love the idea of the interlocking bottles that make structures, it's quite cunning though 'cos you've got to buy loads to make anything good...
mamacta1 | May 1, 2008
Cute idea....dumb design. How are the kiddies supposed to hold that thing and ride their bike? Unless its got a rope attached to it, my son would not use this. Too inconvenient.
Anneliesepies | May 1, 2008

I just got back from the Dallas show and it was truly life-altering. Ye, you killed it son, I can't justify using words to express to you how amazing the performance was to me. This performance redefines what not only a hip hop concert should be, but raises the bar for all musical concerts. This ranks up there with the discovery of the Americas by Columbus, the end of WWII, Jay/Nas reconciliation, Kim Kardashian sex tape, etc. This wasn't just a performance, this was a look into the life of a man that has captured all of our imaginations, re-setting the bar (while other dudes must truly be in limbo). 3 hours later, I still get chills thinking about the show; this is one of those things you will relive in your mind for days, weeks, months even. Ye, from the city of Dallas and me personally..
THANK YOU

Kanye,
I am a student photographer at the University of Alabama. Right now, I am currently doing a series of artists portraits. The artists consist of people who have inspired me with their art and their ways of thinking. Anyway... to get to the point I would be honored to take your portrait. I don't know how this meeting would happen, but the only way I can suggest is when you have you concert in Atlanta, GA on the 4th of May. Hopefully you will take this into consideration. If you are not cool with this, at least let me know. Thanks for your time. If you have time, just so you know I'm not a poser, you can check out my site at www.millermobley.com.
Thanks,
Miller.

Yves has outdone himself on this design. Kids love these bottles. For more information on Yves and the YWater bottle project, check out www.EastmanInnovationLab.com. They've got a lot of cool animation of these bottles on their site along with the project information and a video of Yves with Thomas Arndt, founder of YWater, discussing the project.
