Nas is more of an intellectual, a poet. If we buried his a J's CDs in a time capsule; future generations would learn a whole history lesson from Nas. He is like a Sociologist if you will. Racism, Oppression, War stories, Sexism, Afrocenicity, Mackin'. All that stuff rolled into one. He is great. But like others, he probably won't get all the props that he deserves until he can't hear them. I'm not on his jock. I admit, I listen to J more. However, that is because J is somewhat more commercial than Nas. I can be a bit shallow at times. Anyway. You’re a lot of that ISH rolled into one. You sneak all those lessons in, and make them easier to swallow, 'cause you sprinkle them with witty lines and humor. You reach a generation that may have not given Nas a chance to tell them what's real. You also reach people like myself who don’t really care for bubble gum rappers.
