jaxa33 | July 1, 2008
ok...so Im actually excited about hip hop right now. I think it's in a place RIGHT now and headed in a direction that I feel is positive and REAL. It has substance and touches on REAL issues...and I LOVE THAT!
sidebar: do you think that Nas' album will have a reverse affect on the N word?...
I know what he's tryin to do...but judging on comments I'm seeing on youtube videos for his new songs etc...it's generating alot of ignorant tyraids, BUT at the same time I see it sparking positive controversy also.....
I dunno...thoughts?

this album is going to change hip hop, and probably more
LoveBomb | July 1, 2008
AAaw man, this song is only two minutes and its full of quotables. My 3 fav quotes
1) "Pregnant teenagers give birth to intelligent gangsters. Their daddy's faceless. Play this by your stomach and let my words massage and rub it. I'd be his daddy if there's nobody's there to love it."
2) "My queen used her milkshake to bring yah to my slaughter houses."
3) "I do this for the group home kids in boarded houses."
***Point Blank, NO ONE IS FUCKING WITH NAS! And all yah Hip-Hop amateurs and cult-followers need to fall back and do some fuckin' research before you make bogus statements about who is the GOAT! Nasir Jones!!
JennJenn | July 1, 2008
This is going to drive me purely insane. This brought just so much to me....Ya'll could get mad at what I'm bout to say, but this man here defines the pure essence of hip hop and everything beautiful, intelligent, and creative about the art. "I'm huey p and louis v at the euolgy throwin mazel tovs for emmitt" MAN WHAT!! As and much as people THINK they know they really don't. Nas uses verbal imagery to creat pictures in your mind and sometimes go over your head if you don't take the time to listen or know. Not too many artist PERIOD can make you google something in a song and learn your history man. Nas is Hip Hop at its finest. If Wayne talked about nearly a fraction of the stuff Nas has I could only imagine how he could spread a lot of insight into alot of these young knuckleheads walking round. Nas make you feel like black is beautiful 24/7...365...The best the ever was and will be...and now I jump off his dick and end this monologue.
JennJenn | July 1, 2008
No wait I don't end it....this is so dope man...I've listened to this joint like 5 times.
Jrich | July 1, 2008
I like!
Gustus | July 1, 2008
To JennJenn, I agree with you entirely, with all of it, and I ain't even black, lol. I think people like Nas, puttin these things in his music, is def. helping to change the world, I have learnt so much from Nas, and Kanye too, that we white folk just don't get taught. With albums like this comin out, Hip-Hop is something to look forwards to, what other music genre, or social movement is offering us that right now???
IAmNotWhatitIs | July 1, 2008
a lot of people i see aren't liking the beat... but honestly you have to give credit to Nas for doing something different than his usual shit... he's usually always rapping over hard drum/old school hip hop beats and thats it... so for him to come out with this is a change... and i always wondered what Nas would sound like over a beat like this rather than all of the rest of his beats that have really loud drum beats... idk.. i might be out of my mind writting this... but i respect Nas for thinking out of the box and still experimenting with other styles... even though everybody loves him over those same old old school beats...
rett | July 1, 2008
words really can't describe how good this song is.
IAmNotWhatitIs | July 1, 2008
