Shephard Fairey created the poster for the support of Obama.
One of three original works, which is mixed media stencil collage on a 4 x 6 foot cotton rag paper. Fairey donated this piece to Russell Simmons's Art for Life Auction, with proceeds going toward a different good cause, the Rush Philanthropic Art Foundation.
Current bid is $75,000.

I assume you haven’t heard of this because it definitely deserves a response from you and the others mentioned. Yesterday (July 17, 2008) on “Verdict” with Dan Abrams, he and two guests (black men) were discussing the intense debate that occurred on “The View” over the use of the “N” word. The first panelist stated that he agreed with Whoopi Goldberg’s stance on the subject. However, the second panelist had a slightly different point of view. While Whoopi believes it is unacceptable for anyone outside of the black community to say it, the second panelist stated that he believed no one should utter the word. He continued by saying that certain rappers say the word from time to time and he understands that its entertainment, but if you are a leader or in a position of leadership you shouldn’t and wouldn’t say it. I would like to know your opinion on using the “N” word but moreover, what is your reaction to statements like these that reduce you and other artist
