Im an up and coming producer, youve inspired me since college dropout. This question is about sampling. Im new to it.. got a turntable for christmas, with an mpc and sum soundkits, and hit up my local record store. It wuz my first time and i picked some records out from old soul and jazz artists. Came back..... listened to all of them... NONE of them were useable... i mean NONE.... and the question i want to ask you is... how do you know the record you get is good or not... do you have to be lucky to find a good sample?
if you could somehow reply, or make a vid on how you do one of your beats my life would be complete.... and i'd gladly appreciate it.
